Introducing Envoy 2.0: agents that hand off to each other

Agents can now pass work to each other mid-run, with the same approvals and receipts — so one brief can span support, finance and ops.

One brief, many specialists

Until today, every Envoy agent worked alone. If a support ticket turned into a billing dispute, the run stopped and a human picked it up. With 2.0, Support Envoy can hand that thread to Finance Envoy, which picks up the context, does its part and hands it back.

What stays the same

Handoffs follow the strictest policy of any agent involved. Approval limits still apply, every step still lands in the audit log, and you still get one receipt at the end — not three.

  • Handoffs are opt-in per agent pair

  • Each handoff appears as a step in the run receipt

  • You can require approval before any handoff

Handoffs are live today on Team and Scale plans.
