About

We build agents we’d trust with our own inbox.

Envoy started as an internal tool for a five-person support team. Today it runs work for 1,400 companies — with the same rules we wrote on day one.

Our story

In 2023 our co-founders were running support for a fast-growing store. Every Monday started the same way: hundreds of tickets that followed the same five rules. The first version of Envoy was a script that did the boring ones and asked about the rest.

The asking turned out to be the product. Teams didn’t want an autopilot — they wanted a capable colleague who knew when to check in. So we built Envoy around approvals, scoped access and a receipt for every run.

Today Envoy agents work across support, finance, sales, people and IT teams. The rules haven’t changed: ask before anything risky, show your work, and never surprise the person who sent you.

Principles

Four rules every agent lives by.

Ask before acting

Anything risky, ambiguous or over a limit waits for a person. Agents pause well.

Receipts for everything

Every run ends with a report and every action lands in the audit log.

Least privilege

Access starts read-only and widens one action at a time, with your sign-off.

People own outcomes

Agents do the work. A named person is always accountable for the result.
